NYC Oyo State Chapter Welcomes Students, Teachers Back to School, Commends Makinde’s Efforts in Education

The Nigerian Youth Congress (NYC), Oyo State Chapter, has welcomed students, teachers, and parents across the state back to school for the new academic term starting from today, September 15, 2025. In a statement signed by its Director of Media and Publicity, Segun Akinlabi (Egalitarian), the group expressed appreciation to God for a safe resumption and prayed for divine wisdom for students as well as blessings for parents and guardians. The organisation also commended the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his sustained intervention in the education sector, describing his efforts as a driving force behind the improved learning environment in Oyo State. It, however, urged other stakeholders to complement government initiatives by ensuring that students receive quality and adequate education at all levels. .... says Citizens should Abide by the Law  The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, CP, Adebola Hamzat, On Thursday, said necessary measures will be put in place by the command to ensure a safe and secured environment for residents of the state during and after the Local Government Councils Election, scheduled for 27th April, 2024. CP Adebola Hamzat , gave the assurance while speaking with journalists shortly after meeting the leadership of the Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission (OYSIEC) , who were on a courtesy call to his office, Eleyele, Ibadan. He explained that attaining a peaceful election requires an inclusive security architecture, noting that the command will work with concerned government and security agencies to ensure the election is devoid of rancor.
