Get Familiar with Hon. OLUSEGUN THOMAS OLALEYE — A Voice of Progress from Afijio to Canada

Olusegun Thomas Olaleye is a distinguished Nigerian-Canadian technocrat, entrepreneur, and community leader whose life journey embodies resilience, versatility, and visionary leadership. A proud son of Otun Agba compound in Fiditi, Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State, he was born on May 27, 1976, into the family of Mr. Akanbi Olaleye and Mrs. Wuraola Kuti Olaleye, both of blessed memory.

From early beginnings at St. Patrick’s Primary School and Fiditi Grammar School, to earning a National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Business Administration from The Polytechnic, Ibadan, Olusegun’s educational pursuit laid a solid foundation for a career rooted in excellence. He served his country dutifully during his NYSC in Akwa Ibom State, where he taught Economics and Government.

Driven by a passion for continuous growth, he expanded his academic portfolio with a Master’s in Transport Management (Maritime Option) from LAUTECH and later studied Law and Security at Trillium College, Canada. His commitment to self-development also earned him international certifications in Crisis Intervention, First Aid, Safety Management, and Immigration Administration from leading institutions in Canada and the USA.

Professionally, Olaleye is a serial entrepreneur with deep experience across sectors such as oil and gas, logistics, sales, and marine services. He is the founder and CEO of ABS Auto & Marine Services Ltd in Canada and FGS Concept Resources Ltd in Nigeria, businesses that have created jobs, built capacity, and expanded bilateral trade opportunities between Nigeria and Canada.

A well-traveled global citizen, Olaleye has visited over a dozen countries for business and strategic engagements, including the United Kingdom, France, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States. He was also part of a 2013 trade mission to Sweden with the Nigerian-Swedish Chamber of Commerce, deepening his global network and influence.

Despite his global exposure, he remains deeply connected to his roots.
