Reflecting on Olabat's Mother: A Commemorative Gathering to Honour Her Legacy(PHOTOS)

In the heartwarming spirit of remembrance and celebration, a commemorative gathering was held to honour the remarkable life and enduring legacy of Olabat's mother. Families, friends, political stalwarts gathered at the memory of Honourable Afolabi Olabisi, Olabat mother, Late Alhaja Bolanle Ososami. In sharing the joy and the pain together today, prayer session was held in her memory by the league of Imam.

Honourable Olabat in her tribute to her late mother " One of the most important things in Mom’s life was patience and sincerity, and she took great pride in saying it at all time. It takes patience and perseverance and a love for living things to grow a garden or a beautiful flower like the way mother used to say. There is a beauty and a satisfaction in seeing the result of our labour grow and come to fruition. There is a peacefulness that can come over us as we care for and nurture the everlasting lessons she left behind.

How many people in this world have it so much easier than my mom did. How many never had to face half the trouble she faced, and yet lose sight so easily of what is truly important. Many of us get distracted by insignificant things in life, many of us brood and focus on our little problems, and forget that which is most important.

The death of a loved one is something that you can never prepare for, it is unexpected and unfair but it is a reality that is inevitable. Alhaja Bolanle Ososami lived a good life that made a lot of people to model her. Families, friends, clerics took their turn to pray for the family mama left behind.
